Privacy notice

This notice explains how personal information submitted through the accountant-referral page is handled. It should be read before you submit the form.

Who is responsible

Know Your Numbers SA and Simbarashe Nyatsambo operate this referral workflow. Privacy enquiries may be sent to simba.nyatsambo@sanlam4u.co.za or simbanyats@gmail.com.

Information collected

We collect the information you enter: names, cellphone number, email address, province or suburb, planning trigger, topics of interest, preferred contact channel and time, the accountant or firm that referred you, and your separate consent choices. We also record a server timestamp, wording versions, campaign source and a tamper-evident consent history.

Why it is used

The information is used to respond to your current enquiry, prepare for a requested introductory conversation, maintain source attribution, operate contact tasks, protect against unwanted contact, and demonstrate what permission was or was not given. The form does not create a marketing subscription.

Sharing

Your information is not shared with Sanlam or another external specialist merely because you submit an enquiry. Sharing is permitted only where you grant the separate optional sharing consent, and then only the information reasonably required for the enquiry. Service providers used to host the form, store records, deliver owner alerts and offer calendar times may process limited data under their applicable safeguards.

Accountant visibility

The referring accountant receives source credit, but does not receive access to another person's record. Progress feedback is shared only where there is an appropriate basis and client permission.

Security, retention and rights

Records are access-controlled and contact identifiers are hashed for suppression checks. Information is kept only for the documented business, regulatory and legal retention period that applies, then securely deleted or anonymised. You may request access, correction or deletion where applicable, object to processing, or withdraw a permission. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
